We are celebrating our twenty-second anniversary. This time has allowed us to consolidate a unique and singular festival, deeply rooted in the region and in the future of the island's population, which has established very deep links with the social, cultural, business and artistic fabric of Vallehermoso and La Gomera.

In 2005, Cauprogss, S.L. undertook one of the most satisfying professional adventures of our career: the creation of the Festival Atlántico Sonoro. Of course, that beginning was driven by the illusion of developing a cultural and artistic project in Vallehermoso, an essential town in our life journey for being, precisely, the territory of our family origins.

However, we were not able to imagine then that the Festival Atlántico Sonoro would become the flagship of our cultural enterprise and that, nineteen editions later, we could boast of maintaining one of the most stable and solid festivals of the cultural scene of the archipelago.

The latter is undoubtedly the most beautiful and exciting achievement of all these years because, as we know, the people of Vallehermoso look forward to a new edition every year. These ties have been forged on the basis of both personal and professional collaborations, as the Festival is not limited to developing its agenda in Vallehermoso, but is nourished by the services and professional resources of the town, so that the impact achieved is not only cultural and social, but also decidedly economic.

Once the Festival is consolidated, in each new edition, we have expanded the agenda to other parts of the Canary Islands, with the aim of making the uniqueness of Atlántico Sonoro known beyond La Gomera, but also to create a pole of attraction that transfers potential audiences from other areas and markets to the rural and decentralised reality of Vallehermoso.

As the years have gone by, Atlántico Sonoro has fixed the characteristic lines of the Festival, which now makes it possible to talk about four fundamental axes: decentralisation and rurality; identity (art and memory); diversity as a cultural singularity and local and territorial development.
